No Suprises Act 2022
As of January 1, 2022, clients have increased protection from surprise health care bills. Providers must provide a ‘good faith estimate’ (GFE) of expected charges that may be billed for items and services to individuals who are not enrolled in any health plan or coverage or are self-pay (not seeking to file a claim with their health plan or coverage). This rule only applies to current and future self-pay or uninsured clients.
